This is the manual book to help you install and run an Android Application on BlackBerry PlayBook under BlackBerry simulator “Android Player”. Now you can use “DDpb Installer” to install an “Android Player” on your PlayBook and then run Android apps under this environment.
You should install a JRE first. Download it here.
Then you need to install the “DDpb Install”. Download the latest version DDpb Install 184.108.40.206 here.
After installed “DDpb Install”, make sure set your PlayBook in Development Mode:
Make sure: Settings > Applications > Development > The USB Debugging option IS SELECTED.
Make sure connect your PlayBook to the Internet. And set a same network segment static IP for your PlayBook. Input this IP into “DDPB Installer”. (It’s auto detecting PlayBook IP for you if you use cable to connect PlayBook to PC)
Install the “Android Player” to your PlayBook. (Use this DDPB Installer to deploy it onto PlayBook). You can download Android Player here. By frag the Android Player bar file into DDpb Installer and click “Open” and it will be installed in your PB:
Run the Android App Player and please don’t exit Android App Player.
Add the app .apk, which you are going to install on your BlackBerry PlayBook, into DPB Installer and click “Open”.

There still have some limit to use a Android App on your BlackBerry PlayBook. Not all of apps in Android Market can be installed and run on a PlayBook. However, all apps listed here can work on a BlackBerry PlayBook. You can download them from Android Market. Applications list show as follow:
