Windows Phone 8 Will Stay the Same Core with Windows 8

Stephen Chapman, an analyst from ZDNet, suggested that Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 will use the same OS core based on a research about Microsoft’s position recruitment and staff resumes.

The former Project Manager’s resume shows that the big change will occur on Apollo other than Tango. It will bring significant differences on Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 in 2012.

Though there are no definite clue prove this result, we can infer that Microsoft is planning to build a Software ecosystem that PC, Tablet and Smartphone can use the same OS core and UI. It’s to say, in the future, Windows 8 App can be transformed to Windows Phone 8 platform. This is a good idea to decrease research cost on the two OS. www.itgeeg.com

On the Build Conference Keynote, Steve Sinofsky showed a possibility to just edit a piece of code of a Silverlight written Windows 8 App and then run it on a Windows Phone platform.

The unified OS core will makes create Windows 8 apps and Windows Phone 8 apps the same work. For that reason, Apps in Windows marketplace should be increased rapidly. This will benefit for Microsoft and Windows 8 users.
