Rumor: HTC M7 will Use 1.7GHz Quad-core CPU

The 5 inch Butterfly is not the only flagship for HTC in this year.  New rumors have shown that HTC will released a “M7” smartphone in this year to replace their HTC One X. This new product will inherit the advantages from HTC One series and uses 4.7 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixels FHD touch screen. Because of the smaller size, pixel density increased to 468ppi which is 40% higher than iPhone5 Retina screen.


HTC will also uses some new technology on this screen to improve the display effect. Rumors said they are going to use Solux technology on this screen. Solux technology is believed to brings better color rendition and bigger view angle.

M7 will use 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core CPU other than the Nvidia Tegra 4 CPU which is used on HTC One X. It will also uses 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. This specification even beat the 1.5GHz Butterfly. The M7 is said to run on Android4.1 with new HTC Sense 5 interface. But we don’t know details about this new interface.

HTC M7 will also support LTE 4G network (Maximum 42Mbps download speed.). The M7 will support new 802.11AC WiFi standard, which is 3 times faster than 802.11n. Regarding the camera, M7 uses the same 13 mega pixels camera and F2.0 lens.


Till now, there are no leaked picture of HTC M7. But, based on the One X and Butterfly, we can guest it will also use a aluminium case and narrow frame. M7 will uses 2300mAh battery.

According to rumors, HTC M7 will be unveiled on next February’s WMC2013. The HTC M7 will face the big challenge from Samsung Galaxy S4. In order to get a small advantage, M7 is believed to release 1~2 monthes before GS4.
