Poynt is a free PlayBook & Blackberry Smart Phone application and available in Canada, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain and Australia. It’s a location-based application, likes yellow page, which help you find businesses, retailers, people, restaurants, movies, gas prices (US only), events and weather information around you.
Poynt uses GPS or cell-site location to quickly deliver the information you need, whenever and wherever you need it. It will provide you a integrated 5-day weather forecast. Users can easily find phone numbers and map directions with just one click. They can also book a movie tickets(US/CA only) by Poynt. Poynt can do more on a Blackberry Smart Phone. It can reverse look-up missed calls from the BlackBerry Call log. Share address book, watch What a Man movie online and other news with friends by email. When people get a PlayBook, they can sync PlayBook tablet with BlackBerry smartphone.

Poynt doesn’t load properly when installed it to PlayBook while works great on the Blackberry smartphone. Can’t even type in a local address to get it working on PlayBook.
Need to improve the interface. Wish it could add “user defined” button for shortcuts to businesses frequently referenced.
Fix the glitches and Poynt will be one of my favorite and useful apps thus far! Being a free app makes it still worth it.
